UKGLRP

The end of UKGL RP

Hey everyone, This isn’t an easy post to write. After months of dedication, countless hours of work, and a lot of hope, I’ve made the incredibly tough decision to bring the UKGL RP FiveM server project to an end. When I first started this project, I had high hopes of creating an amazing community where people could come together, share immersive roleplay experiences, and just have fun. For a while, it really felt like we were onto something great. But as time went on, it became clear that the challenges we faced especially with Rockstar tightening their rules around modding and roleplay servers—made it impossible to keep moving forward.

The Creation of bb-dbotbits: Simplifying Discord Bot Development As developers, we often find ourselves reinventing the wheel. When I started building Discord bots, I noticed a pattern, each bot required the same foundational setup. Handling events, responding to commands, and managing server-specific functionalities. I felt it was repetitive and, frankly, more complicated than it needed to be. This inspired me to create something that could streamline the process: bb-dbotbits. You can download it here

Why I use Linux (Ubuntu)

Why I Use Linux (Ubuntu) for Development As a developer, choosing the right operating system is crucial. It’s not just about what feels comfortable; it’s about what enhances your workflow, helps you stay productive, and gives you the tools you need to build great software. After years of experimenting with different environments, I’ve settled on Linux, specifically Ubuntu, and here’s why. 1. The Power of Customization Linux gives me the freedom to customize my environment to match my exact needs. From the terminal to the desktop environment, I can tweak everything. Whether I’m fine-tuning my system’s performance, installing a new development tool, or adjusting the look and feel of my workspace, Linux offers flexibility that I haven’t found in other operating systems.
